Parr worked at a store for a television personality named Mike Wolfe while he was in high school. After that, while in college, he ran a small chain of hotdog shops and sold liquor online. After dropping out, he co-founded Bunk, a web platform for matching roommates.
At the same time, he persuaded actor Mike Wolfe to hire him for a sales position at his Antique Archaeology store. He met the actor because he worked for the television show American Pickers.
However, after a year, he sold his first business to start another called Southern Sam’s. Regardless, that company assisted him in paying for college. He quit his job at Antique Archaeology six months after starting his second business. He moved to San Francisco and closed his second business in August of that year.
